What is the Global Startup Program?

The GSP, or Global Startup Program (formerly known as the Global Solutions Program), was the first official program at Singularity. It operated from 2008 to 2019. The goal of the program was to help future-focused entrepreneurs, academics or anyone with a problem they wanted to solve, leverage exponential technologies and Singularity's ecosystem to turn those radical ideas into globally impactful startups. Backed by Google and NASA, programming happened over a 10 week period with three programming phases:

• Activate: Focuses on mindset shifts, exponential tech fundamentals, and refining the core business concept.
• Accelerate: Helps teams build, test, and adapt their products for international markets.
• Connect: Links founders with a worldwide network of mentors, experts, and investors.

This structured, immersive program offered startup-focused educational resources and world-class mentorship from SU’s faculty, staff, and industry experts. Some GSP program alumni continue to operate companies and businesses by leveraging exponential technologies to solve the world’s biggest challenges or have gone on to have incredible careers. During the time of operation, GSP helped to create over 100 startups. Some of our more notable alumni companies include: Be My Eyes, Made in Space, Matternet and Basepaws.
