How does the Singularity community spearhead local innovation?

Singularity's impact is local by design and our role in spearheading local innovation has shifted over the years.

The goal of all of our programs or events is to help inspire and empower those who attend to take what they’ve learned back to where they are from and apply it to solve problems. With Alumni from over 100 different countries most of the results of our work comes from those leaders driving local innovation in their businesses, cities or countries.

For example, at the Singularity Executive Program we open by asking participants why they chose to attend. We often hear how someone is looking to scale their business, someone looking for ways to solve a currently unsolvable problem or others who are there to hear about what they don’t know.

By the end of the week we aim to teach them how to ask better questions and think about technology as a tool in their toolkit. Look hard at the problem, then think differently about the solution. How could you leverage one, two or even three different technologies to solve it? The SDGs show what that looks like at the largest scale, but the method is the same whether the problem is global or sitting on a leader's desk.

They leave ready to act. That shows up as a new business model, a shifted operating strategy, a policy rethink. It also shows up as a leader taking the knowledge, skills, and network back to a problem that looked unsolvable a few days earlier.

We are proud to know that as a direct result of our programs alumni and members of our community have gone back home to start impact companies, lead government policies on AI adoption or revolutionize their organization to go from just local to global innovation.

Outside of our programs we also have a presence in a few select countries with our Country Partners.
