For the individual Executive Program, we typically limit participation to no more than two representatives from a single organization per program, as we believe a diverse cohort is an important element of the program experience.
The first step is for each executive to submit an application, as the Admissions process for the Executive Program is not based on a reservation system, but rather, each applicant must apply and is reviewed based on his/her individual merit. Once an application is received, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement notice, and the application will then be placed in the queue for review.
As each applicant is individually reviewed, applicants should be thoughtful with responses on the application. The application should be completed by the applicant (not by an assistant) as information should be reflective of the applicant's passions and viewpoints. We recommend for the applicant to provide in depth information to his/her executive experience (especially on the current role), links to articles or write ups on professional and/or personal accomplishments, Bloomberg/LinkedIn profiles, and a strong personal statement connecting us to his/her passions. For example, why did the applicant select the Executive Program? How do his/her past accomplishments and plans for the future align with SU's mission of impact and Global Grand Challenges?
Due to the high volume of applications received, the review process could take up to two months, and programs are usually sold out 4 - 6 months in advance. The Admissions Team carefully selects participants for each cohort from the large pool of qualified applicants to ensure diversity of demographics, geography, as well as industries.
When an applicant is approved for admission, an Offer of Admission notice is released. The applicant must complete registration and payment within the stated timeline via the custom link in the offer notice. Once both steps are completed, our Welcome Team will release logistics information for travel planning. If registration/payment timelines are missed, the applicant will be canceled and the seat will be offered to the next approved applicant.
